MusicLessonMatch.com was developed and launched by two Alberta-based educators who saw a market niche and decided to bring this long overdue service to Canadian families and music teachers. After being asked countless times if they could suggest a local private music teacher, these two teachers decided to help families answer their own question. They combined their extensive education backgrounds and experience in being moms to young children themselves to develop a fantastic, user-friendly website for both music teachers and parents. Shelley Gittel M.A.(Child Study and Education), B.Music, ARCT, is an elementary school music teacher and Laurie Campbell B.Ed, B.Sc, is a primary school teacher and web savvy entrepreneur. They brought their talents together to form this Canadian website and company. Encouraged by the overwhelming response they received from parents, students and music teachers alike they spent countless hours on meetings, consultations, market research, questionnaires, designing and programming to perfect the MusicLessonMatch.com site. The result is a meticulously professional, user-friendly venue for Canadian parents and music teachers.
